Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Ma. Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga conferred the agency’s Environmental Awards for Governance and Leadership Excellence (EAGLE) to Regional Executive Director (RED) Henry A. Adornado and Regional Director (RD) Reynaldo S. Digamo in recognition of their exemplary leadership skills, major accomplishments and contributions as head of DENR 10 and EMB 10, respectively, during the 2024 New Year’s Reception on February 1, 2024 in Tagaytay City.

RED Adornado was a former Director of Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau in Los Baños, Laguna, a consistently top performing Bureau in 2016 and 2017 before he was assigned in the field.

RD Digamo also received the EAGLE Award as head of EMB 10. He is a three-time nominee for EAGLE Award in Caraga Region and Northern Mindanao from year 2018 to 2021.

In addition, DENR 10 was also awarded as the Best Performing Regional Office for 2022 for its contribution in the efficient and effective implementation of the department’s goals.

Aside from the above recognitions, three DENR 10 field offices such as PENRO Lanao del Norte, PENRO Camiguin and CENRO Oroquieta were awarded with plaque of recognition being nominees for EAGLE award under different categories.

The EAGLE Award recognizes the outstanding DENR officials’ exemplary leadership and major accomplishments and contributions in pursuing the agency’s goals and objectives. Its main objective is to promote a culture of organizational and leadership excellence by determining the efficiency and effectiveness of field officials in delivering their mandates and recognize and commend them accordingly.
