The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 10, through its Regional Strategic Communications and Initiatives Section (RSCIS), conducted a Learning Event and Meeting on Task Force Tayo Ang Kalikasan (TFTAK) on January 9-10, 2019 at Bobontugan, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental.

The learning event was attended by TFTAK Focal Persons and designated DENR-10 field office’s Information Officers.

TFTAK accomplishments for CY 2018 included the conduct of basic orientation and seminar, assessment of Peoples’ Organizations identified as pilot areas for intervention, chapter formations, planning workshops and covenant signing manifesting involvement and commitment to TFTAK. The activity likewise served as a venue for the preparation of its targets.

Furthermore, the activity was equipped with relevant discussions on Effective Complete Staff Work and Basic Tips on Video Production; essential skills that may be utilized by the participants in delivering their respective duties and responsibilities as focal person and information officer.

The participants culminated the activity by bearing in mind the importance of collaborative effort among national agencies, Local Government Units, local communities and other stakeholders in the continuous protection and conservation of the country’s environment and natural resources – a forerunner goal of TFTAK. #TayoAngKalikasan (01-003-2019)
