The Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB) teamled by Assistant Director Armida Andres (2nd from the left) tries out the Ilocano delicacy called the “Chichaworm,” one of the finished products in the cooking demo segment of the “Samu’t Saring Tikim Fair.” In this portion of the program, aptly called “Balik-Tikim,” the audience is re-introduced to native ingredients, such as worms, to cook healthy and sustainable meals for their families. The food fair, held at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in Quezon City, highlights the local celebration of the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDBD), with theme “Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health.” ###
