Beneficiaries
of the Handog Titulo Program of the Department of Environment &
Natural Resources (DENR) in the region received their land titles
in separate occasions during the celebration of Environment Month
from June 1 to 30.
DENR Regional Executive Director Maximo Dichoso revealed that a
total of 1,241 titles with a corresponding area of 1,312.82 hectares
of alienable and disposable lands were awarded for the whole month
of June. He said the Handog Titulo Program aims to fast track
the issuance and distribution of alienable and disposable land.
This will encourage landowners to develop their land for their
socio-economic upliftment, Director Dichoso added.
The 110th celebration of Independence Day on June 12 was highlighted
with the simultaneous awarding of land patents in areas in the region.
The awarding of patents was undertaken in Sumilao, Talakag and Impasug-ong,

and Salay, Misamis Oriental. On that day a total of 852 land
titles with a total area of 892 hectares were awarded to qualified
